NEW ZEALAND PRODUCE.
HOME MARKET QUOTATIONS
The secretary of tne Te Kuiti Chamber of Commerce has just received the following letter in connection with the intention of the Government to arrange for the receipt from the High Commissioner of market quotations of New Zealand produce. Any suggestions which may be o* benefit will be received by the secretary, Mr A. E. Robinson, be transmitted to the Departments requested:—
"I have the honour to inform you that this Department is about to have prepared a new telegraphic code for the purpose of transmitting the Home market quotations for, and genreal remarks regarding, New Zealand produce. In order that the code may be as complete as possible and that the information may be given in the form best applicable to the requirements of producers and merchants throughout the Dominion, I shall be glad to receive any suggestions your organisation mav wish to make as to improvements in the form in which this information is, at present cabled, and also any particulars concerning other products wnich it is considered may, if cabled, be of benefit to producers and merchants. As the preparation of the code is to be commenced immediately, an early reply to this memorandum is desired. —F, S. Pope, Secretary."
