The Wesleyan congregation of Kio Kio gathered together on Friday afternoon to present a set of brushes to Rev. J. A. Lamond and a butter dish and spoon to Mrs Lamond. Though notice of the meeting was short there was a fair gathering. Messrs Budge, and Rogers made speeches eulogizing the work of Mr Latnund, and ixpi'essing their regret at losing birr. The presentati ns were made by Me3dames Budge and Rogers. Afternoon tea was handed round to the ladies and during pauses in the general conversation musical items were contributed by various members of the church. The proceedings closed with prayer and the distribution of the remaining cakes and fruit to the deserving poor.
