On Saturday last the Pio Pio eleven visited Aria to eontest the fourth cricket match between the two clubs. The ?e3ult proved highly satisfactory as the game resulted in an innings victory for the Pio Pio boys, which makes the teams on equal terms, haying won two matches each. Aria batted first to the bowling of E. Smith and W. Stacey. The latter, who was bowling a splendid break, securing seven wickets for 20 runs, while Smith took three wickets for seven runs, the highest scorer being Dempsey with seven. For Pio Pio Armstrong 25 and Nicholls 11 not out showed the best form with the bat, the innings closing for 63. It was evidently an off-day for the Aria team, who, on resuming, made only 33, Butcher and Stacey being responsible for four wickets each, while W. Neil secured the remaining two. The game thus ended in an innings and three runs win. The team gives great praise to the Aria Club for the fine treatment they received, and we hope the local people will turn out to do them honour when they come out to play us the "conqueror," which will no doubt create considerable interest.
