WAIKATO CENTRAL SHOW.
The scnedules of prizes for the above show are now ready and may he had on application at the association's office. Cambridge. The commit tee has, from the inception of the show, placed before the public an up-to-date and liberal schedule of prizes, involving an expenditure of well over the £IOOO. The list offered this year is even better than any previously offered. With a view of inducing competition from outside districts the committee has increased the prize money in the Champion Hunter class to £52, and in each of the principal Hack classes to £9 9s. An innovation is to be made in the Draught Horse section by introducing two classes to bo judged on standard measurements on the Champion Shield lines. Thishould make the section one of more than ordinary interest. All those interested in the breeding <-nd handling of draught stock should exmine the conditions of these classes. As the measurement'- -.hemselves are most interesting and instructive, and as this is the first occasion on which the system has been tried in the Auckland province, it should largely add to the interest of the section. Special provision has been made for dairy stock, and classes have been added to each of the Pedigree Pig sections for pigs under six months. The schedule contains some 400 classes and haß something of interest for all classes of exhibitors.
