KIRITEHERE-MOEATOA.
Own Correspondent. Word has been received that the work of pegging out the uncompleted section of the Marakopo to Te Te Kuiti telephone line, viz , that part between Moeatoa and Mangaohae, which up to the present time has been the subject uf a great deal of correipondence, will be begun immediately, two men having left Te Kuiti for that purpose. Hollow iron telegraph poles, fireproof and light, will be used throughout and these practically solve the difficutly of transportation in rough bush country, being easily carried from point to point as the work of erection pro grosses. Telephone communication between To Kuiti and the coast should be established at an early date after the work of erection is begun and a month's time should see the work under way. !t is understood that aoveral local tenders will be sent in. Tenders for the transportation of the iron poles, etc., are out and inforrration may be obtained at the Te Kuiti post office.
