KIO KIO RAILWAY STATION.
GOODS SHED PROVIDED. The rapidly increasing business at Kio Kio railway station and the necessity for a suitable shed were brought before the Minister for Railways at Te Kuiti some time ago. Mr C. K. Wilson, member for the district, has now received the following letter from the Hon. Mr Herries, concerning the matter: —• "With reference to the deputation introduced by you which waited upon me at Te Kuiti'on April 19th, urging that a goods shed be provided at the Kio Kio railway station : I have pleasure in informing you that I have today approved of shed 30ft by 20ft with a verandah over the siding being erected there. The work will be put in hand as soon as the men at present engaged elsewhere are available to undertake the work."
