BOXING CARNIVAL AT HAMILTON.
The Waikato Boxing Association will hold its fifth annual amateur championships in the Town Hall, Hamilton, on Wednesday, August 13th, at 8 p.m. This year promises already to be a record for entries are already coming in, while the Association's representative at Auckland has word that so far eleven boys have signified their intention to make the trip to Waikato. Considerable interest is being evoked in the Territorial and novice classes, and altogether a good nighii's sport is assured. Boxing has always proved a good draw at Hamilton and has interested many outside the district, so that, aa in the past, it is expected that many visitors will go to Hamilton for the occasion. The secretary, Mr M. McArthur, will be plea3ed to give all information to intending contestants, and particulars appear in our advertising columns. Supporters of boxing are advised not to miss this meeting as some of the best of Auckland and outside talent will be com peting. Entries close on Thursday, August 7th.
