STATE TIMBER MILLS.
LEGISLATION THIS YEAR. [BY TKLI'MSAVH.—PEKSS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Friday. A deputation representing the Timber Workers' Federation was introduced to Mr Massey by Mr J. S. Dickson thia morning. Replying to various requests, the Premier said he intended to ask Parliament to legislate this session for the reaerving of sufficient timber for the use of Government departments, the intention being that the State should have its own sawmills.
