NEW ZEALAND WINNERS
At the annual show; of the Sheepbreeders' Association, Ik Id at Sydney, the New Zealand prize-takers were as follows:—Romney Marsh: Ram, two years, D. Brant, Timaru, first prise, and second prize for ram under two yeara; ram, 12 months, J. Dowthwaite, Waimate, first and a second; «we, under 18 months, Dowthwaite first, also first for pen of ewes, and second for pen of rams. Border Leicesters: Rams, over two years and under two years, D. Grant, two seconds; ram, 12 months, Grant, first, J. Nixon, Killinchy, stcond ewe, two years, W. Rennie, Doyleston, second; ewe, 18 months, Dowthwaite, first; ewe, 18 months, Dowthwaite first and second; pen of rams, Dowthwaite first, Rennie second; pen of ewes, Dowthwaite first, Rennie second. English Leicester: Rams, two rears. Grant first, Nixon second; ram, 12 months. Nixon first. Grant second; ewe, under two years, Nixon first and second; ewe, under 18 months, Nixon second. Grand champion Romney Marsh ram and ewe, Joseph Dowthwaite. Both in number and quality the display of British-bred sheep was a i record.
