HEAVY FIGHTING PROCEEDING. CONTRADICTORY REPORTS. By Telegraph— Press Association.— OopytiffUV London, Thursday. Although there has been no declaration of war by the members of the former Balkan League, the armies are now engaged in sanguinary conflict in various parts of Macedonia to settle, by force of arms, who shall hold the lion's share of [the conquered territory. THE BULGARIANS STORY. ACTING ON DEFENSIVE. Received Friday, 10.30 p.m. Sofia, Friday. A semi-official report states the Bulgarians after repelling the first Servian provocative attacks, asiumed the defensive and occupied Imeritza and other villages as cabled on Wednesday. Then in pursuance of orders they ceased hostilities and returned to their original positions and sent two officers to request the Servians to cease hostilities.
The Servians, instead of complying, took the offensive with all their forces and described this movement as a pursuit of the Bulgarians. All the Servian attacks Were repulsed with heavy Servian losses.
