The court was crowded with an unprecedented gathering in the judges gallery. Many society ladies, participated in the scuffling crush for admission to other parte to hear Lady Sackville's five hours' examination and cross-examination. On the whole Lady Sackville testified composedly, frequenly smiling. Asked whether Malcora really followed her across the room on his knees, "He did," Lady Sackville replied; "like that," and bending two forefingers ehe moved them in turn along the rail of the witness box.
