[HV TI.LI.GH.U'It. I'RKSS ASSOCIATION'.] Auckland, Friday. Amongst the remits to be con sidered at the .'annual conference of agricultural associations to be held at Wellington this month, are two embodying proposals for organising farmers under a board, or chamber of agriculture. The Canterbury Association is responsible for a remit covering this suggestion, the chamber or board to consist of all associations or bodies concerned or interested in agricultural indusstries. The Manawatu Association proposes that a governing body to be known as the National Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Conference, should be established. Before Lord Islington left New Zealand he urged that something should Ih? done along these lines, and outlined a scheme which he sent on to the Canterbury Association. The idea is to organise all employers engaged in farming for the purpose of protecting the. general interests of the individual and the industry. The matter came before the Auckland A. and P.
