FOOTBALL.
MANIAPOTO RUGBY UNION. A meeting of the management committee of the Maniapoto Union was held in the Chronicle office on Thursday evening last. Reports were received from the referees in last Saturday's matches. Reports in connection with the Nehe-nehe-Mangapehi match Were considered, and it was decided to forward same to the South Auckland Union for their consideration. The following players were registered :—Te Kuiti: J. McKellar and W. Rutherford. Ongarue Club: Pawara and Mcßae. Mangapehi: Kira, J. Donovan, T. Burgess Topu, A. McCracken. Otorohanga: Tau Wetu, L. Emery, Mana, C. Tamaki, T. Hamana, Tewhi Mapi, Tangi Wipa, W. Tamaki. The secretary received a donation of 10s 6d from Mr Clark, vice-presi-dent, Otorohanga. This amount was acknowledged with thanks. The following referees were appointed for to-day:—Otorohanga v. Ongarue, Mr Moorhouse. Nehenehe v. Waimiha, Mr Hayson. Mangapehi and'Te Kuiti, Mr Worthington. The matter of the reinstatement of players into the Maniapoto Rugby Union will be considered by the South Auckland Union to-day.
