PROGRESSIVE EUCHRE AND DANCE
A very successful progressive euchre party and dance was held in St. Luke's Parish Hall on Wednesday evening last, some 80 people being present. The preparations made for the comfort of the participants were excellent, and reflected great credit on the organisers, Mr Dodge in particular being worthy of special mention, the majority of the work falling upon his shoulders. Mr Christian assisted at the piano, and Mr L. C, Harton made an efficient M.C. The floor was in excellent order, and the cardroom bright and cosy. The following were the prize-winners in the euchre tournament: Ladies'prize for the top score, Miss Renni"; gentlemen's, Mr Blackman; ladies' booby prize, Mrs Rouse gentlemen's, Mr Yates. It is intended that during the next three months an evening of a similar nature be held once a month.
