AUCKLAND EDUCATION BOARD.
FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. The following business affecting the district was transacted by the Education Board on Wednesday ; Kihikihi and Te Aroha West. The election of the school committee was upheld. Okahukura. —An application for a school was declined at present. Waiwhakaata. —A request for a school Was referred to the inspector. Kakahi- —Application is to be made for a grant for a residence. Manunui. —The Board will make appilcation for a grant for the enlargemene to the school. Ongarue. Application is to be made for a grant for a new school for 120 pupils. The Board authorised the supply of a marquee for temporary school purposes. Owhango. — Application is to be made for a grant for a residence, and for the enlargement of the school. Kihikihi.—The architect is tu report on a request for improvements to the school. Obaupo.—An applicattion for repairs to fencing was referred to the inspector. Taumarunui—The Board authorised the exterior painting of the school.
