MANIAPOTO RUGBY UNION.
A meeting of the Executive of the above Union was held in the Chronicle Office last evening.
The Secretary was requested to ask the South Auckland Union to hold a meeting at an early date as this Union had business to place before them. Messrs R. B. Mills and B. W. Hayson referees forwarded the reports of their respective matches. Mr Hayson referred to the mixed colours used by players and trusted the Union would do something to remedy this evil. It was resolved that the Secretary write Club Secretaries requesting them to attend to this matter and to see that their teams turned out in Club colours. The following players were registered for their respective jClubs. Nehenehe Mangu, Te Wiwinijack Rata and Clapham ; Mangapeehi B Dixon ; Te KuitiK. Gould, E. Carroll and J. Cain. 98 players were registered for Otorohanga. j The Ongarue Club applied for registration of their colours, Maroon jersey, black pants. —Granted. The following referees were appointed for Saturday's matches : Mangapeehi v Nehenehe, B. W. Hayson ; Waimiha v lOtorohanga, F. P. Moorhouse ; Te Kuiti v Ongarue, J. W. Cochrane. It was resolved that a tour be arranged with Goldfields and Rotorua Unions, the Goldfields match to be played at Te Aroha. Also that home and home matches be played with the Waipa Union.
