AUSTRALIA'S CADETS.

__.. A GREAT REVIEW. Sydney, Tueßday. The first real demonstration of what compulsory military training is doing for Australia was afforded in Sydney on Saturday, when 20,000 khaki-clad cadets, drawn from metropolitan and suburban areas, were massed in the Domain, and thence marched past the saluting baie at the Town Hall, whore the Governor-General (Lord Donman) who specially came from Melbourne to review them, was stationed. The State Governor (Sir Gerald Strickland) and the principal naval officers were present. Marching four deep, the line of cadets spread over five miles, and took over two hours to pass a given point. The sight was an inspiring one, as the long line of Australia's young army wound its way in martial swing between the cheering masses of people. The playing of numerous bands and the street decorations added greatly to the effect. The older soldiers marched to the rear of the column. Although they included many raw recruits, the boys acquitted themselves excellently, and presented a soldierly appearance.
