BOWLING.

The Te Awamutu Bowling Club members paid a return visit to Te Kuiti on Wednesday in such strength that four teams were available for play. Accompanying the bowlers were a considerable number of ladies, who were entertained at croquet during the afternoon by the members of the Te Kuiti Croquet Club. The weather was all that could be desired, and a most enjoyable time was spent. During the day afternoon tea was provided by the Te Kuiti ladies and was much appreciated. The Te Awamutu players showed excellent form in the various games, three out of four of their teams scoring wins, while on the aggregate they secured the advantage by 89 points to 72.

At the conclusion of play Mr Wallace on bebalf of the Te Awamutu players thanked the Te Kuiti Club for the hospitality extended to the visitors, and invited the Te Kuiti bowlers to visit Te Awamutu again before the season ended. Mr C. Stevens, president of the Te Kuiti Club, suitably replied, and promised the visitors that return games would be arranged to be played at Te Awamutu. The visitors returned by the 10 o'clock train to Te Awamutu.

Walsh, Finlay, Julian, Power (skip) 13; Stephenson, Bowden, White, Wallace (skp) 16 v. Willaims, Lusk, Stevens, Cochrane (skip) 13; Christian, Brown, Lawrie (skip) 24 v. Boles, Julian, Jones, Matthew (skip) 20; Stonehouse, Oliphant, Clements, Woollass (skip) 20 v. Porter, Rouse, Eriksson, Spencer (skip) 26. Total.—Te Awamutu, 89; Te Kuiti, 72.
