KING COUNTRY SHOW.
ARRANGEMENTS IN HAND.
The various matters in connection with the forthcoming A. and P. Show to be held at Te Kuiti on the 19th and 20th of this month, are well in hand, and after the race meeting tomorrow the ground will be put in thorough order for show day. The judges for the various events have all been appointed and the majority of the stewards are working hard for the success of the function. The entries received to date are not up to expectations, and intending exhibitors are earnestly requested to forward their entries at the earliest possible moment. The further trophies received for competition have been allocated as follows: Dr Mcßae's Cup to the best King Country hack capable of carrying list and upwards; Bachelor's Cup, to the best lady rider over jumps 3ft 6in high, horse, rider and appearance to be taken into consideration, the winner of the open competition for lady riders is not eligible to compete in this event; Messrs Barraud and Abraham's Cup, to the exhibitor scoring most points in the Shorthorn class.
