TE KUITI RAGING CLUB.

ANNUAL RACE MEETING. To-morrow the flags will be flying at th 9 picturesque racecourse of the Te Kuiti Racing Club, and given fine weather the annual race meeting should be both a pleasant and successul function. Situated on the banks of the winding Mangaokewa stream at Te Kumi, and with ample space all round, the course offers irresistible attractions for picnic groups, and the annual race meeting promises to develop into one of the most popular functions o f the King Country. Th 9 picnic spots are well away from the scene of excitement, and family parties can enjoy to the full the pleasure of boiling the billy and lunching under the shade of the spreading willows which line the banks of the pretty stream. On the other hand ample convenience has been provided for the confirmed racegoer who revels in the tinkle of the bell, and takes his pleasure in picking his fancy race by race. The course is in excellent order, the finishing touches having been attended to during the last few days. It will be no surprise to see fast times recorded, fur the track is one of the best in the Dominion, the circuit being a full mile, and the curves being of the easiest description. Major Lusk, president, and members of the committee have devoted considerable time and trouble to the arrangments, and nothing has been left undone to assure the success of the gathering. Last year it was found that the totalisator house was too small, and a considerable addition has been made to the building. It is fondly hoped by the executive that the building will again be found too cramped for the important matter of handling the investments. Several of the horses which were intended to compete have dropped out from their engagements, but the fields in all, cases are still good, and some fine racing should be witnessed. TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS. A train will leave Frankton for Te Kuiti at 9.10 a.m., returning leaving Te Kuiti for Frankton at 7.0 p.m. A train will leave Te Kuiti for Te Kumi at 11.45 a.m. A train will leave Te Kumi for Te Kuiti at 6.10 p.m. Carriages will be attached to the goods train leaving Te Kuiti for Taumarunui at 9.45 p.m.
