A 9 our public school has closed for the Christmas holidays, the place seems over-run with small fry, and our village wore quite an animated aspect on account of the school picnic, at which the little ones fought some game battles for the coveted prizes. The concert in the evening proved a great success, and reflects great credit on Mr Hotsori, the schoo 1 teacher, who has the children very well trained, both in voice and discipline, and the items given by them were much enjoyed.
