METHODIST MISSION SERVICES.
The special mission services under the auspices of the Methodist Church are being well attended and much appreciated. The meetings are held in the Municipal Hall and start at 7.30 p.m. The missioner is a young Scotchman who has had wide experience in Christian work and sings the Gospel in a most attractive fashion as well as delivering timely and inspiring addresses. Having served with the colours of the Gordan Highlanders he is able to make good use of soldier life in illustrating his addresses. Next week the well-known and great-ly-gifted soloist, Mis 3 Ruby Fear, will sing at every service, and this in itself should be enough to gain the attention of the people of Te Kuiti. We feel sure that were the inspiring nature of these meetings more widely known, a still larger number of people would avail themselves of the privilege of attending. The complete absence of any merely mechanical appliances, and the studied avoidance of methods that are merely sensational should commend the gatherings not only to the Christian people of Te Kuiti, but to the publ-ic generally. Great interest has been evinced in the open-air meetings which precede the inside gatherings.
