The Church of England people were rather unfortunate in having such a rough night for their concert and dance, held he t -e on Friday night. But great, credit is due to the pro moters in that everything was really first-class. After thR following items were rendered dancing was indulged in till morning: Pianoforte duet, Miss Turton ar,d Mrs Amon; song, "The Veteran," Mr Pochin, deservedly encored; Miss Morrell gave a sweet rendering of "My in Folks"; "Two Eyes of Grey," by Mr H. Smith, followed a character sketch, "The Sundowner," by Mr Elliott, and the recitation "The Water Mill" as an encore. "A Hundred Fathoms Deep" was then sung by Mr A. Wallace, in his usually taking manner; "The Reign of the Roses" duet, by Mrs Eliott and Mrs Hattaway, followed by that splendid recitation of Henry Lawson's "For'ard," to which Mr Hattaway did justice. The last item before supper was a juggling turn by Mr H. McKay, at which the audience applauded upruariously. Mr Lindsay provided the music for the dancing in his usual artistic manner.
