The monthly meeting of the Otorohanga Chamber of Commerce was held on Tuesday evening. There were present Messrs Willis (president), Whyte, Worthington, Green, Clarke, Miller, J. Ormsby, Beck, Cook, Hood, and Forster, secretary. The Railway Department wrote saying that the Frankton-Te Kuiti evening train would run one huur later every day instead of as formerly only on Thursdays; also that from November Ist a goods train with passenger carriage would run to Frankton about 4.30 p.m.
The secretary of the Board of Education wrote stating that an application has been made to th 9 Government for money' to build a teacher's residence.
' Railway Station Improvements, — The deputation that waited upon Mr Lowe, railway engineer, reported having made a request for a cream shed, a verandah to station, a crane for lifting heavy weights, repairs to cattle yards, metal on roadway, and other reauirements.
