A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of the General Committee of the King Country Central A. and P. Association was held in the secretary's office, To Kuiti, yesterday afternoon.

The principal business dealt with was the consideration of financial matters', which are not in a satisfactory condition. The principal reason for this is that debenture money promised has not come in as quickly as it should have done. —It was decided to raise an overdraft provided that thirty members sign tli9 guarantee. The hope was expressed that these signatures would soon be obtained as finance is absolutely necesßary. Several of those present signed the guarantee. A general meeting of the association has been called for next sale night, and will be held in the County office at 7..10 p.m. It is hoped that a large number ot members will attend as the business will be of an important nature. A letter was received from the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Farmers' Union requesting the local association to send a delegate to meet the Prime Minister at Auckland with respect, to an agricultural college at Auckland. —Resolved that the president, or his nominee, go to Auckland as delegate.

Trophies won at last show were approved as follows: Mackay and Jones' challenge cup, class 9, J. Taylor; F. B. Darrow's challenge cup, class 11, J. Taylor; W. A. Scott's challenge cup, class 70, P. J, Quirk; C Stevens' challenge cup, dairy cattle, W.J. Hall; Cotter Bros' challenge cup, fat cattle, W. Taylor; R. M. Somerville's challenge cup, sheep, W. Gadsby; W. Gadsby's challenge cup, points, W. Gadsby; Broadfoot and Finlay's challenge cup, lady rider. Miss Gould; E. H. Hardy's challenge cup, home industries Miss Langmuir.

it was resolved that the above, trophies be handed to Mr C. Stevens, who will take them to Auckland to bo engraved. Ladies who won prize money at the show can obtain same from the secretary at his office on and after Tuesday, September 24th.
