BOROUGH COUNCIL VACANCY.
MR J. F. WALSH ELECTED. Nominations to fill the vacancy on the Borough Council caused by the' resignation of Mr G. P. Finlay, closed on Thursday. Mr J. F. Walsh, being the only candidate nominated, was declared duly elected. Mr Walsh, who has been associated with Te Kuiti for the past six years, as manager of Wilson's Lime and Metal Works, is keenly interested in the progress of the town, and will undoubtedly prove a useful member of a progressive body.
