The Waiteti road has been completed and ia now fit for heavy traffic. The amount of fascines ordered by Mr Spencer are not required. The contractor has cut about five to six hundred, and two hundred of them have been used in repair work, the balance which have not been delivered are still on hand, The contractor, Mr Cotter, does not wish to put any more than required for the road. I would recommend the Council to cancel Mr Cotter's contract, as his contract is to cut 1000 bundles. — W. Ireland.
