. _*. THAN GO VOTELESS. By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Coiiyris-ht London, Thursday. Mary Leigh was sentenced to the same term as Gladys Evans—five years' penal servitude —for attempting to set fire to the Theatre Royal, Dublin, in which the Prime Minister, Mr Asquith, spoke on the occasion of the recent visit to Ireland.
Mary Leigh, on hearing the sentence, cried: "It is frightful. If 1 live to come out of gaol, I will commit further crimes. It is better to be a convict than to be voteless,"
