HOCKEY.

TE KUITI 3 v. OTOROHANGA 0,

On Saturday last the local men's team paid their first visit to Otorohanga to try conclusions with the newly formed team there. The game opened very willingly, Te Kuiti pressing and having several fruitless shots at the goal. From the result of a good rush Stnerden sent the ball in from the wing and registered the first goal for the visiting team. Shortly before half time a forward rush resulted in Evan3 shooting the second goal. In the second half Te Kuiti pressed hard, but had hard luck time and again, the third goal being scored by Burgess on the call of time. Otorohanga have the making of a good team, and with a little more practice would put up a good fight. The return match will probably be played at Te Kuiti on Saturday, August 10th.
