PUBLIC WORKS MINISTER.
TO VISIT KING COUNTRY. Immediately on the personnel of the new Ministry being made public, Mr C. K. Wilson, member for the district, approached the newly-appointed Minister for Public Works, the Hon. W. Fraser, with a view to arranging for the Minister to pay an early visit to the King Country. Invitations were also extended to the Minister from the Mayor of Te Kuiti. Mr E. H. Hardy; the chair man of the Waitomo County Council, Mr A. Scnoles and the secretary of the Chamber of Commerce, Mr Mostyn Jones. It is understood there is every likelihood of Mr Fraser, paying a visit to Te Kuiti before the House meets. As less than three weeks will elapse before the House reassembles it will be seen that the Minister has little time to spare. As soon as the necessary nreparations have been made and a probable date fixed the various local authorities will be apprised.
