The Farmers' Auctioneering Co., Ltd , report as follows: — At Te Kuiti on July 3rd, we had a yarding of 490 head of cattle and 1964 sheep. Competition was good, and the whole entry was disposed of at prices much in advance of those ruling at late markets. Well fattened steers £lO 9s, fat and forward Bteers up to £8 7s 6d, fresh steers £6 8s to £7, shorthorn cows £8 Bs, 2 and 2J year steers £4 Is to £4 19s, 18 months to 2 year steers £3 lis to £4, fat cows £5 5s to £6 10s, store cows £3 5a to £3 15s, empty heifera £3 17s 6d to £4, dairy heifers backward in calf £4 19s to £6, calves £2 lis to £2 14s, dairy cows £5 5s to £7 2s 6d, fat and forward wethers 16s 3d to 20s, store wethers 13s 9d, Romney ewes 20s 6d and 20s 9d, Lincoln ewes 255, crossbred hoggets 12s sd, 2, 4 and 6 tooth ewes in lamb 15s 3d to 17?, full-mouth ewes in lamb ?3s 7d to 15s 4d, a few horses made from £22 to £27 10s for draughts, hacks £9 to £l4.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Johnsonville sale: —We offered a good yarding of bullocks and a fair one of sheep, also a line of dairy cows. Quotations:—Bullocks made from £9 2s 6d to £lO 2s 6d to £ll 2s 6d, vealera 18a to 31s, cows at drop £ls 10s, others averaged from £>4 to £7, extra prime wethers 29s 9d, prime 22s 5d to 24s 6d, lighter 17s 3d to 18s lOd, ewes 15s 7d to 17s lOd lambs 13s to 15s.
