At Ruil'alo, the New York excursion dock, on tho west shore of Grand Island, collapsed, and 100 persons were precipitated into the water. Five bodies have so far been recovered, while 18 are mieaing, and no hope f,,r their rescue can be held out. The wharf is situated 12 mileß above the Niagara Falls, and the swift current carried off the struggling mass of humanity which was on the dock at the time. Those clinging to the timbers of the broken dock saw others carried from sight and were quite unable to aid them.
