In the House of Commons to-day Mr Lloyd George, Chancellor of the Exchequer, announced that a million of the surplus would bo devoted to tlio Supplementary Estimates for thu navy. Half a million would be spent in the developme.nt of Uganda and British .Kant. Africa. The remaining five millions would h<> spent in the reduction of the national deht.
