TE KUITI TOWN CLERK.

MR E. LAMB APPOINTED. At Monday evening's meeting of Te Kuiti Borough Council applications for the position of town clerk were considered. Over sixty applications were received, and this number was reduced to four by a sub-committee. The four names finally submitted were Messrs Lamb (Dannevirke). Galloway (Palmerston South) McLean (Mosgiel), and Farrow (Lyttelton), In the final ballot Mr Lamb was successful. Mr Lamb has been for some time assistant town clerk at Dannevirke.
