SURPLUS OF ABOUT £750,000

The Prime Minister, the Hon. Tho3. Mackenzie, in speaking of the financial position of the Dominion to a pressman at Auckland on Thursday, remarked that the figures for the past year would disclose a very gratifying financial year. The surplus of revenue over expenditure was, as a matter of fact, in the vicinity of threequarters of a million, and considerably in excess of last year's surplus.
