ST. LUKE'S CHURCH.

The annual meeting of parishioners of St. Luke's Church of England was held in the Parish Hall on Tuesday evening. The Rev. E S. Wayne presided over a small attendance which, nevertheless, took marked interest in the business under discussion.

The annual report and balance-sheet presented was adopted, and instructions given to have same printed and circulated amongst churchmen. The following gentlemen were appointed to various offices:—Clergy's Warden, Mr Snadden; People's Warden, Mr Lee; Vestrymen, Messrs Blackman, Spencer, Mostyn Junes, Hine, Harton, Solomon, Collins, Warmington, Williams and Hira Poutawera, Auditors, Messrs N. C. Matthew and Simmons.

The first meeting of the new vestry will be held in the Parish Hall on Thursday evening, when a full attendance is requested so as to'enable a complete statement in connection with the financial and general work of the church to be prepared for presentation to the Bishop.
