FOOTBALL.
The meeting called for the purpose of forming a new club at Te Kuiti was held in the County Offices last night. There was a good attendance and considerable interest was manifested in the proceeding?. Mr E. Martin was voted to the chair. It wa3 decided to form a club to ba called the Te Kuiti Athletic Football Club.
The following officers were elected: —President, Mr A. Scholes; vice-pre-sidents, Messrs Matthew, Mora, Cochrane, Walsh, Rothery, Wallace, E. Kerr, Finlay, Howarth and H. Matthew. secretary, Mr Demerit; treasurer, Mr F. K. Matthews; management committee, Messrs Mora, Kothery, Molloy and Archer; club captain, Mr E. Martin; delegate tu the Union, Mr P. Mora; colours, light and dark blue with monogram A.F.C. It was decided to affiliate with the Maniapoto Ruby Union. Opening day was fixed for May 11th, the committee to make arrangements for a game with one of the other clubs.
A vote of thanks was passed to Mr Mora for the donation of a bait. It was decided to er.deavour to obtain the Skating Rink for one night a week for practice. Votes of thanl<3 to the council for the use of the room and to the chairman for presiding terminated the meeting.
