BOWLS.

The performances of Te Kuiti players at tho South Auckland tournament were of a highly creditable nature. The No. 1 team won its section games, and got beaten by narrow margin in the semi-finals by the Waihi No. 1 team, which proved to be the ultimate runner-up, the final being won by Te Aroha by 21 to 18. Te Kuiti No. 2 team performed creditably in the section games, and played well up to form. The green at Hamilton was very keen, and played much faster than anything the local players had been accustomed to. However, the experience will be valuable to the younger players, and better things may be expected of them in future.
