THE SHEFFIELD CHOIR.

The above Choir gave their first performance on Monday evening last, and on both Monday and Tuesday evenings huge crowds attended at the shed on .the Harbour Board's wharf. The .'Choir consists of 66 sopranos, 52 contraltos, 42 tenors, "and 37 basses, a total of 197 singers. Tbe performances caused the greatest excitement among tbe huge audiences, and the conductor, Dr Henry Coward, received ovations. The Auckland public are delighted with tbe Cbpir and are full of admiration for the beautiful blending of the voices. V The Choir leaves Auckland to-night by special train en route for Wellington./ --"■•-.
