WEDDING.
FABLING—BURD. On Wednesday morning a quiet wedding took place at St. Peter's Church, Hamilton, the contracting parties being Mr W. G. Fabling of Hamilton and Miss Gladys Ivy Burd eldest daughter of Mr T. Burd of the Public Works Department. The Rev. E. M. Cowie M.A. conducted the service which was fully choral. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful trained dress of embroidered muslin, trimmed with soft Valencienns lace. She wore the usual wreath of orange blossoms, and carried a shower bouquet. She was attended as bridesmaid by her 3ister, Dorothy, who was tastefully attired in a soft creme taffeta voile dress, and wore a large moss-green hat. The bridegroom was supported by Mr T. G. Shane] as best man. After the ceremony the party adjourned to the residence of the bride's parents, where the customary wedding breakfast was served. The bride's travelling costume was a tailor-made navy blue material with hat to match.
