MILITARY CADETS.

Of the twelve candidates who presented themselves for examination for cadetships at the Australian Military College, the following seven are successful candidates: —W. J. K. Jennings (Canterbury), E. Miles (Canterbury), V. G. Jervis (Otago), C. Carrington (Canterbury), W. N. W. Weir (Wellington), D. R. Carpenter (Auckland), and E. Oliver (Canterbury). These have still to pass the final medical examination and to be approved by the General Officer Commanding the New Zealand defence forces. The remaining five who presented themselves did not attain the necessary qualifying standard.
