A FALL OF PUMICE.
TWO MEN INJURED. Taumarunui, Monday. Three men were working on Messrs Ellis and Burnand's tram formation, at Manunui, when a mass of pumice fell, burying two of them, Robertson and Ferguson, to the neck, and the third to the knees. Ganger Webster went with a party to the rescue and shovelled the pumice away. Robertson and Ferguson had each a leg broken, and were removed to the Taumarunui Hospital, where they are progressing favourably.
