RAILWAY GOODS SERVICES.
NEW SYSTEM. [JSY 'L'KLKtJHAFH. I'ItKSS ASSOCIATION".] Wellington, This Day. On May Ist the Minister of Railways intends to bring into operation a new system of intermittent goods services for small country stations. Under the new method goods will be delivered and received at smaller stations twice or thrice weekly. The Railway Department is calling tenders for 10 more class A engines for fast goods and passenger work. Ten class B engnies are being built at Addington, and 10 at Hillside.
