William Eamford, agd o'3, a night watchman at the Wanganui Railway station, died this morning from the effects of a dose, of strychnine. After working all night he returned home in the early morning and worked about the house for a couple of hours. His sister-in-law heard a fall in the bedroom, and found JJamforcl on the floor. He held out his hand and said "Goodbye" to her, and told a neighbour, who was called in, that he had taken strychnine. lis died before medical aid could reach him. No reason is known for the act,
