The South Africans concluded their match against Tasmania at Launeeston to-day, winning by 209 runs. Sherwell scored 141 as the result cf <JS minutes' })lay, and Sinclair made 66 in 22 minutes. The visitors declared their innings closed with six wickets down for 288. In Tasmania's second innings, Smith carried out his bat for a faultless display of belting, making - 124 in two hours 52 minutes. SECOND MATCH AGAINST TASMANIA. Hobart, Last Night . The weather was showery for the second match against Tasmania. Ten minutes before luncheon play was suspended and was not resumed till after 4 o'clock, owing to the wicket being lightly covered with water. The I attendance was poor and play at times j very slow, although Nourse gave a bit i of his quality by rattling up 71. \ Sinclair showed hitting powers. The i I team, as a whole, aid not show to | great advantage, possibly owing to I their all-night travelling from Launces- j ton.
