Competition was confined to Home manufacturers chiefly, whose trade is good. American and the Continental buyers are holding off to ascertain market values. A large supply of crossbred wool is being offered, while 55,800 bales of New Zealand wool were catalogued. Fine wool declined Jd, medium and coarse 2d. The estimated values of New Zealand wools at the close of the sixth series of colonial wool sales, held in London on 6th December, 1910, were as follows: — Superior merino 13d to 15Jd, medium merino IOJd to 12£ d, inferoir merino 6Jd to 9Jd, fine crossbreds (all grades) 13id to J6d, medium crossbreds lid to 13d, coarse crossbreds (all grades) BJd to lO^d," The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report; At Ohaupo, on Tuosday, 17th inst., we yarded 6SO head of cattle, also five pens of sheep. There was good competition throughout, and a full clearance effected.
