LAND SALE.

To-morrow afternoon, Messrs Young and Co. will offer for sale by auction (Mr J. R. Graham wielding the hammer), some sixty odd sections. Thirtythree of these are leasehold, fifty years and at a low rental and a small reserve, and will be sold on exceptionally easy terms. They are the property of Messrs Winger and Smith, and are situated on the other side of the river from the town, between Mr Falwasser's and Ruru Bell's respective houses. Flags have been placed on the sections so that intending purchasers cannot fail to locate them even in the absence of the agents or the auctioneer. Some thirty freehold sections are also being offered closer to the town. The block commonly known as George Hetet's, has been partitioned by the Court and each section ha 3 been individualised. In all there are fifteen owners anxious to dispose of their land as freehold, and as the tenure in this lease-stricken village 13 so popular, it is confidently anticipated that a large number of those with town section hunger will be present at the sale. Inquiries have been numerous and as this is the first occasion on which a sale of freehold has been held on the ground the results are obvious. That beautiful new house of Mr Whare Bell's as well as Mr George Hetet's, will go to the hammer, both with reasonable reserves. All will admit that rentpaying is by no means to be compared with ownership, therefore it is permissible to assume that the opportunity presenting itself to-morrow afternoon at 2 p.m. will be greedily availed of. Don't fail to turn up to the sale if only out of curiosity. The agents regret the fact that owing to licensing restrictions the usual auction sale cask of hops will not decorate the rostrum.
