AT HOME.

Last Wednesday afternoon Mrs Alfred Julian gave a most enjoyable "At Home" at her residence "Wharenui," Dainty afternoon tea, fruit salads and sweets were served in the dining room, which was beautifully decorated with pink and white sweet peas, and pink ramblers. Mrs Julian received her guests in a handsome dress of pale heliotrope charmeuse trimmed with cream tucked net and violet velvet ribbon; Mrs Frank Julian wore her wedding dress of cre'me pailette silk, trimmed with fillet lace. Among the numerous ladies present were: —Mrs Fullerton, pale blue spotted satin foulard, guipure and chiffon trimming, mole hat covered with white and purple clover; Miss Sinclair, white silk, cream hat red roses; Mrs N. C. ; Matthew, pale green linen costume black and pink hat; Mrs H. In the evening Mr and Mrs Julian again entertained a large number of friends, progressve euchre, bridge, and music being thoroughly enjoyed by all present, until quite a late hour.
