WAIKATO BOXING ASSOCIATION.
The second annual championships held by the Waikato Boxing Association, will take place in Hamilton on Wednesday evening next, 14th inst. Record entries have been received, covering competitors from Cambridge, Hamilton, Te Awamutu, Huntly, Ngaruawahia, Waihi, Waikino, Auckland, and elsewhere, and some spirited bouts are expected. The success of the last tournament bids fair to be eclipsed by the present one, as during the past year boxing has been more generally taken up throughout the district. It is confidently expected that visitors from Te Kuiti will be present, and they can be assured of an excellent evening's entertainment. The local lads have been in strict training for some time, so that their performances on the present occasion are looked upon with anticipation. Full particulars as to prices, etc., are contained in our advertising columns to-day.
