Maniapoto Rugby Union.

A meeting of the above Union was held in Mr Falwasser's office last evening. The president (Mr Falwasser) occupied the chair. Delegates were present from each affiliated club. Mr Eveleigh moved and Mr Falwasser seconded, that all players be graded at the commencement of each season and no player shall play in a class lower than that in which he is graded, without first obtaining permission from the Union; a second grade player to be allowed to play two matches in one season in a higher grade without being classed in that grade, and that this by-law, as far as the present season is concerned, be operative from date. —Carried. Mr Eveleigh's motion re classification of players was seconded by H. Poutawera and carried. Mr Eveleigh moved and H. Poutawera seconded, that the names as submitted by various clubs be registered. —Carried. Messrs Kirk and Eveleigh moved that the letter from the South Auckland Rugby Union re representation be received. —Carried.

Hira Poutawera gave notice of motion "That after the completion of the first round of matches no further players be registered. Should there be three rounds, then not after the completion of the second round." The following referees were appointed for Saturday:—Te Kuiti v. Nehe Nehe, at Te Kuiti, Mr Burke; Tanehopuwai v. Mokauiti, at Aria, Mr E. Elliott. On the motion of Messrs Poutawera and Falwass;r it was resolved that should Mr Burke not be able to referee in the Te Kuiti-Nehe Nehe match, the secretary have the power to appoint a referee. Resolved that the junior match should start at 1.15 p.m. sharp. Resolved that the secretary be asked to supply the various clubs with a list of registered members for each club. The following are the teams for the Te Kuiti-Nehe Nehe match, on the Te Kuiti ground, on Saturday:—Te Kuiti —F. Kerr, V. Kirk, Feary, Tarrant, Jones, H. Cleaver, H. Rothery, P. Hill, J. Pitcon, E. Poole, Daue, Boles, S. Cleaver, I. Kerr; emergencies, Hoare, Pulford, Fitzmaurice, Dement. Nehe Nehe—R. Nikora, Tuheka, Hikaka, T. D. Hetet, Raureti, Sid. Clarke, Devine, T. H. Poutawera, Menzies, Rehe, W. Bell, J. Taylor, T. Anderson, S. Griffiths, M. Warihi; emergencies, R. Rata, F. Julian, R. Bell, B. Anderson. The following is the team to represent -Nehe Nehe juniors v. Hangatiki, on Saturday:—W. Anderson, P. Kio, N. Cole, A. Bell, Taka, A. Lawrence (capt.), C. Williams, T. Ngaronga, Wi Kio, H. Turner, Kirikino, J. Rata, A. Tutt, Tukuhou, W. Holmes; emergencies, W.
